Finance Manager - bluesign®

SGS seeks a Senior Finance Manager to lead the finance function for its bluesign® division in Baar, Switzerland. This role involves strategic partnership with the CEO and oversight of all financial operations for a CHF 25M revenue business.

The company is looking for an experienced finance leader to take full ownership of the financial operations for bluesign®, a global sustainability solutions provider. Serving as a key partner to the CEO, the successful candidate will guide strategic priorities, manage risk, and drive performance across reporting, planning, and compliance for a business generating approximately CHF 25 million in revenue.

Responsibilities

• Direct all financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting.
• Ensure strict adherence to local regulations, SGS internal policies, and applicable accounting standards.
• Oversee internal controls, risk management frameworks, and working capital optimization.
• Evaluate CAPEX proposals and assess investment opportunities for the business.
• Coordinate with operational and commercial teams to inform business decisions with financial insights.
• Prepare and present financial data for Board and Shareholder meetings.
• Manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Monitor performance against budgets and targets, supporting the CEO in executing growth initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in senior finance leadership positions.
• Demonstrated track record of leading a complete finance function within a multinational organization.
• Strong background in financial accounting, controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Experience collaborating with shared service centers.
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Fluent proficiency in English.
• Fluent proficiency in either German or French.

Nice to have

• Experience working within a matrix organizational structure.
• Familiarity with financial systems and ERP platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Hyperion, HFM, and Oracle.
• Swiss Chartered or Certified Accountant qualification.
