Comet seeks a Senior Global Product Quality Owner for Vacuum Capacitors in Flamatt, CH. This hybrid role oversees quality performance, drives continuous improvement, and manages global quality initiatives for plasma control components.
The company is looking for a senior professional to serve as the Global Product Quality Owner for Vacuum Capacitors within its Plasma Control Technologies division. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for specialized components used in memory chip and touch screen manufacturing, supporting the company's legacy of innovation and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end quality performance of the Vacuum Capacitors product line throughout its entire lifecycle.
- Spearhead cross-functional problem-solving efforts, including leading major quality investigations, failure analysis, and reliability enhancement projects.
- Serve as the main point of contact for quality matters between customers, manufacturing sites, engineering teams, and suppliers.
- Establish and track quality KPIs, identify potential risks, and execute preventive measures to boost product performance.
- Direct global quality initiatives and product qualification activities, ensuring robust processes, effective change management, and successful product transfers and ramps.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of quality experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments.
- Strong expertise in 8D methodology, root cause analysis, quality improvement, and risk management.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional quality initiatives in global organizations.
- Proficient English skills required.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.
