Siemens seeks a Head of Finance ANZ to serve as a senior business partner for the Australia & New Zealand sales organization, driving revenue performance and financial governance.
This senior individual contributor role reports directly to the Region CFO and acts as a trusted financial advisor to the ANZ Sales leadership team. The position is designed to optimize revenue outcomes, ensure strict financial compliance, and support complex commercial deal structuring within a collaborative, international environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with ANZ sales executives to enhance revenue growth and profitability.
- Guide the sales team on pricing strategies, contract terms, and deal structuring to ensure optimal results and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee monthly forecasting and annual budgeting cycles for regional revenue and expenses.
- Manage the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash workflow, including revenue validation, approvals, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to revenue recognition standards such as IFRS 15 and ASC 606, alongside internal policies.
- Produce accurate financial reports, variance analyses, and KPIs to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Support new business acquisition, renewals, and expansion initiatives.
- Contribute to month-end close activities and provide financial commentary to finance leadership.
- Identify opportunities to streamline deal flow and reporting efficiency through process improvements.
- Promote the effective use of systems like SAP, CRM, and CPQ to enable data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated background as a Finance Business Partner supporting sales teams, preferably within the software or technology sector.
- Solid grasp of revenue recognition principles (IFRS 15 / ASC 606) and software business models.
- Hands-on experience with Quote-to-Cash processes, deal support, and sales finance operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
- Strong analytical capabilities to convert raw data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and sales leaders.
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed, cross-functional organizational structure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, or Business Objects platforms.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA.
