Bunge seeks a Head of Freight Operations in Geneva to lead a global team managing over 400 vessels, driving performance and process improvements in dry bulk shipping. This role oversees a global freight operations team, ensuring consistent processes and performance across more than 400 vessels. It involves close collaboration with chartering and trading teams to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with international shipping regulations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in strategic decisions for global freight operations, including fleet performance tracking, process improvements, and report development.
- Address vessel-related issues promptly and ensure team accountability.
- Oversee technical ship handling matters with support from Technical Managers.
- Manage relationships with P&I and Marine insurance providers, including negotiating annual premiums with Legal.
- Coordinate with Technical Managers to handle towage, agency, and supplier contracts.
- Assist Operations in legal matters related to vessels, working with Legal and P&I Club.
- Maintain full knowledge of current international shipping regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in dry bulk operations and chartering.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a large, international team.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.

- Knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.
