The company seeks an Executive-level Head of Groups & Events Sales to lead revenue targets and strategy for its luxury resort portfolio in Andermatt, CH.
This executive position is responsible for driving the financial performance of the Groups & Events division. The role involves crafting and implementing sales strategies across the entire resort portfolio while ensuring high standards of service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Guide, mentor, and grow the Groups & Events Sales team to achieve performance goals and maintain service quality.
- Cultivate a sales environment focused on customer needs and measurable results.
- Track and improve key performance indicators through ongoing reviews and coaching sessions.
- Maintain uniform sales standards, streamlined processes, and high-quality handling of inquiries.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle, from initial contact and proposal creation to final event execution.
- Directly handle strategic accounts and major business opportunities.
- Lead client interactions, including site tours, presentations, and contract discussions.
- Ensure a superior client experience at every touchpoint of the sales process.
- Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, F&B, Culinary, Housekeeping, and Marketing departments to guarantee commercial success and smooth event delivery.
- Optimize sales workflows, systems, and tools, such as Opera Cloud.
- Enhance reporting mechanisms, forecasting accuracy, sales materials, and the overall event offering.
- Generate performance reports and business insights to aid strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related discipline.
- At least six years of experience in Groups & Events Sales within the luxury hospitality sector, including leadership roles.
- Proven background in luxury cluster hotels with solid understanding of banquet, F&B, and restaurant operations.
- Proficiency in Opera software and experience with budgeting, forecasting, revenue optimization, and event sales processes.
- Strong commercial acumen with an analytical, data-driven, and results-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire teams through effective coaching and people development.
- Highly organized, structured, and process-focused approach to work.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Opera Cloud, and standard sales systems.
