Salomon seeks an Area Sales Manager for Alpine, Protective & Nordic categories in Central Switzerland. This permanent, full-time role focuses on driving sales, managing retailer partnerships, and ensuring brand excellence in the field.
This permanent, full-time position is primarily field-based across Central Switzerland. The role combines commercial ownership with technical product expertise and relationship management to serve customers directly.
Responsibilities
- Achieve seasonal sales and distribution targets for Alpine, Nordic, and Protective categories within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute a seasonal strategy aligned with brand priorities to drive revenue and growth.
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with key retail accounts, acting as the main point of contact.
- Lead the complete sales cycle, including product presentations, negotiations, offer management, and closing deals.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts through regular visits and business reviews.
- Present new collections and manage order intake to ensure successful sell-in activities.
- Plan and monitor revenue objectives, ensuring strong commercial performance across the customer portfolio.
- Deliver a premium brand experience in the field and identify marketing opportunities within the territory.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of sales experience, preferably as an Area Sales Manager in the sports or outdoor industry.
- Strong background in the winter sports market, particularly with Alpine, Nordic, or Protective categories.
- Proven track record of building and managing B2B relationships and retail partnerships.
- Excellent commercial acumen with strong negotiation and closing skills.
- High level of autonomy, organization, and a proactive, hands-on work style.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to various stakeholders.
- Degree in business, sales, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Fluent German and professional-level English.
- French or Italian language skills are an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new IT systems.
