Head of Spain

Lombard Odier seeks a Head of Spain to direct Swiss-based teams serving Spanish clients, driving growth and strategy within the SELA region from Geneva.

The Southern Europe & Latin America (SELA) region is looking for a strategic leader to manage and expand Swiss-based teams that serve Spanish clients. This position offers the chance to shape the business, foster growth, and participate in wider regional projects within a global setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the Spain teams located in Geneva and Zurich, aligning their performance with the bank's overall strategy.
• Create and implement a strategic business plan focused on market positioning, commercial activities, and increasing revenue.
• Mentor Private Bankers and recruit skilled professionals to build a high-performing team.
• Oversee business results, including team and individual KPIs, revenue expansion, and Net New Money acquisition.
• Maintain rigorous risk management and compliance standards to ensure operational excellence.
• Participate in the SELA Executive Committee to help shape regional strategy and make key decisions.
• Gather market intelligence on Spain to spot opportunities for innovation and expansion.
• Develop and organize customized solutions for Spanish clients across different locations and regional markets.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in the banking sector.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and scale teams.
• A strong commercial focus with a history of expanding client relationships and boosting revenues.
• Personal initiative, ownership, accountability, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Proven ability to attract, recruit, and develop talented professionals.
• Strategic thinking with the capacity to work hands-on and at a leadership level.
• Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of French and other relevant languages is considered an asset.
