Lombard Odier IM seeks a Head of Spain to lead Swiss-based teams serving Spanish clients, driving growth and strategic initiatives within the SELA region.
This position involves leading and developing the Spain-focused teams located in Geneva and Zurich. The role is central to the Southern Europe & Latin America (SELA) region, offering the opportunity to shape business strategy, drive revenue growth, and contribute to broader regional decisions in a highly international setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the Spain teams in Geneva and Zurich, aligning their performance with the bank’s overall strategy.
- Create and implement a strategic business plan that covers commercial initiatives, market positioning, and revenue expansion.
- Mentor Private Bankers and manage the recruitment and retention of high-caliber talent.
- Oversee business performance metrics, including team KPIs, revenue targets, and Net New Money generation.
- Maintain rigorous standards for risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Serve on the SELA Executive Committee to help define regional strategy and make key decisions.
- Gather market intelligence on Spain to spot opportunities for innovation and business growth.
- Design and coordinate specialized offerings for Spanish clients across various locations and regional markets.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in the banking sector.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and scale teams.
- A strong commercial focus with a history of expanding client relationships and increasing revenues.
- Personal initiative, ownership, accountability, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Proven ability to attract, recruit, and develop skilled professionals.
- Strategic thinking capability, with the flexibility to operate hands-on and at a senior leadership level.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Spanish and English.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in French or other relevant languages is considered an asset.
