Michael Page is seeking an HR Business Partner for a 6-month fixed-term role in Geneva. The position focuses on advising leaders, managing employee relations, and supporting performance and workforce planning within an international context.

This position serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, ensuring that human resources strategies align with broader organizational goals. The incumbent acts as a trusted advisor to management, providing expert guidance on people-related issues to drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning and initiatives to improve organizational structure.
  • Coach managers on leadership skills, team dynamics, and individual employee development.
  • Review HR metrics and trends to help business leaders make data-driven decisions.
  • Advise on employee relations issues, ensuring company policies are applied fairly and consistently.
  • Help resolve complex workplace conflicts and sensitive employee situations.
  • Guide managers through disciplinary actions, performance issues, and grievances while adhering to Swiss labor laws.
  • Foster a positive work environment and high engagement levels across the relevant regions.
  • Assist in talent reviews and succession planning efforts.
  • Identify growth opportunities for high-potential staff and partner with leaders on their development.
  • Lead career development conversations and support talent planning activities.
  • Promote learning and development programs that benefit both the business and individual employees.
  • Contribute to strategies aimed at improving employee retention and engagement.
  • Manage the full performance cycle, including goal setting, reviews, and improvement plans.
  • Ensure performance management practices are consistent and equitable throughout the organization.
  • Coach managers on how to conduct effective performance and development conversations.
  • Take part in regional and global HR projects.
  • Help roll out HR programs across the designated countries.
  • Work with HR Centers of Expertise and business stakeholders on people-related initiatives.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects coordinated from the Geneva office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience as an HR Business Partner in an international setting.
  • Solid knowledge of Swiss employment legislation.
  • Proven track record in handling employee relations and performance management.
  • Experience operating within complex, matrixed, and multicultural organizations.
  • Strong ability to influence and build effective partnerships with senior stakeholders.
