The company seeks an HR Specialist for its Global HQ in Zurich to manage local HR operations, ensure legal compliance, and support employee lifecycle processes in a multicultural environment.
This position acts as the central HR advisor for staff and managers at the Zurich headquarters. The specialist delivers operational HR services, guides teams on employee relations, and ensures all activities align with Swiss labor laws and internal standards from hiring through departure.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding local HR policies and employment issues.
- Collaborate with Global HR Business Partners to provide expertise on Swiss employment law, social security, and compliance.
- Manage the Traineeship Program with HMS, including recruitment, supervision, and training of trainees.
- Assist with annual HR cycles such as performance reviews, talent assessments, and compensation adjustments alongside Global HRBPs.
- Handle end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, internal transfers, and offboarding in coordination with Shared Services.
- Organize engagement activities like Welcome Day, National Future Day, Bike to Work, and Lunch & Learn sessions.
- Provide backup support for payroll processing.
- Contribute to HR projects and drive continuous process improvements.
- Administer corporate credit cards and oversee related governance procedures.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in HR Generalist, Operations, or Specialist roles.
- Possession of a Federal Diploma in HR (Eidg. Dipl. Personalfachmann/-frau).
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in multicultural and matrixed organizational structures.
- Solid understanding of Swiss employment legislation, social security rules, and HR administration.
- Fluency in both English and German.
