IBU Procurement Executive

Escatec Switzerland AG seeks an IBU Procurement Executive in Heerbrugg to manage international sourcing of electronic and mechanical components while collaborating with global teams.

This position focuses on the international procurement of electronic and mechanical parts, requiring active involvement in engineering projects and close cooperation with the central procurement group located in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Manage international sourcing activities, with a primary focus on electronic and mechanical components.
• Oversee several product categories and lead negotiations for purchasing terms and conditions.
• Contribute to development and engineering initiatives that involve procurement aspects.
• Handle strategic supplier management to ensure reliable supply chains.
• Work closely with the central procurement team in Malaysia to align group strategies.
• Participate in continuous improvement and optimization projects to enhance processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in purchasing electronic and electromechanical components.
• A degree from a Technical College (HTL), University of Applied Sciences (FH), Higher Technical School (TS), or a completed apprenticeship in electronics combined with further procurement training.
• A strong commercial mindset paired with entrepreneurial thinking.
• A reliable, independent, and structured approach to work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent command of both German and English, including written and spoken skills, along with strong negotiation abilities.
