Sourcing Engineer间接物料采购工程师（运营平台）

The company is seeking a Mid-level Sourcing Engineer for indirect materials in Uzwil, Switzerland. The role involves managing sourcing activities, supplier management, and cost-saving initiatives for categories like MICE, MRO, and IT services.

This position focuses on overseeing the procurement of indirect materials across various categories, including MICE, capital expenses, MRO, and facility management. The role is responsible for optimizing the supplier base and implementing sourcing strategies to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement activities for indirect materials such as MICE, capital expenses, MRO, facility management, IT, and HR services.
• Manage supplier relationships and continuously refine the supplier base to ensure competitiveness for indirect material purchases.
• Collaborate with regional category managers to develop and execute sourcing and category strategies.
• Lead cross-functional teams in assessing and auditing potential suppliers, and drive performance improvements through corrective actions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to define procurement requirements, including cost targets, delivery schedules, brand preferences, technology needs, and service levels.
• Execute RFI and RFQ processes with competitive bidding, negotiating optimal pricing and commercial terms with internal teams.
• Implement supplier contracts to mitigate supply and legal risks.
• Handle subsequent purchasing tasks, including purchase order release, delivery follow-up, and payment processing.
• Drive continuous improvement in supply and service to meet business needs and internal customer expectations.
• Maintain a price database for indirect materials and lead annual cost-saving initiatives to achieve targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5-7 years of experience in multinational companies, with head office experience preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in MICE category purchasing.
• 5-7 years of experience in indirect materials purchasing within an equipment manufacturing environment or similar.
• Familiarity with purchasing MRO, factory civil engineering, property leasing, equipment and plant maintenance, and administration consumables.
• Advanced sourcing methods including TCO, cost breakdown, negotiation skills, supplier selection, development, and relationship management.
• Good knowledge of project management, contract law, and risk avoidance.
• Understanding of company operations such as logistics, finance, production, quality, and R&D.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP.
• English language proficiency at CET6 level.

Nice to have

• PMP or CPSM certification is preferred.
• Head office experience is a plus.
