Intern - Health Assessment Programmes

Internship within the Migration Health Division supporting knowledge management, information dissemination, and coordination of health assessment programmes and training activities.

This internship is part of the 2026 Global Access Internship Programme, designed for citizens of Member States with lower representation at the organization. The position is located within the Migration Health Division, which focuses on delivering migration health services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the Global HAP SharePoint platform to support knowledge management.
  • Draft and prepare information sheets for internal and external distribution.
  • Distribute holograms to Country Offices and monitor inventory levels.
  • Gather and coordinate inputs related to HAP for meetings and reporting.
  • Assist with quality initiatives and help coordinate webinars and training sessions.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings and events.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Global Health, Epidemiology, Health Sciences, or a related field, or graduated within the past 12 months.
  • Aged between 20 and 36 years.
  • Fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise summary documents and edit reports.
  • Proficiency in office software packages, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

  • Experience working on health and migration issues.
  • Experience working with health data.
  • Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish).
