Baer AG seeks an Intern for the Regional CFO Emerging Markets team in Zürich. The role supports finance management, reporting, and strategic projects within a full-time, 6-12 month contract.
This internship sits within the regional CFO team for Emerging Markets and reports directly to the Group CFO. The position delivers comprehensive financial oversight to the regional leadership, focusing on priority initiatives and strategic finance topics.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business units by managing projects related to finance or products, such as loans, subsidies, rate programs, capital analysis, and pricing.
- Oversee and enhance the tracking of key initiatives, taking full ownership of reconciliation processes.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting cycles and prepare analytical commentary for senior leadership.
- Help develop financial plans for the region, specific markets, or major local legal entities.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Development group on mergers and acquisitions activities.
- Conduct analyses for ad-hoc senior management requests, including net new money tracking, local business transformation, and strategic finance developments.
- Support financial planning through modeling and lead the implementation of process improvements to drive performance.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program, or a recent graduate.
- Fluent command of English in both written and spoken communication.
Nice to have
- Prior hands-on experience in finance, corporate finance, or wealth management.
- Proficiency in German or additional languages.
