This internship places the candidate directly on the shopfloor within the Aerospace Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industry. The position is designed for students to gain hands-on experience in a highly regulated setting, contributing to quality assurance and operational efficiency through the introduction of new tools and methods.
Responsibilities
- Familiarize oneself with the specific norms and standards required in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Create, evaluate, and deploy new tools aimed at strengthening quality assurance protocols.
- Engage in problem-solving initiatives and drive process improvements within the production area.
- Support the adoption of advanced technologies and working methods to reduce manual labor on the shopfloor.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a student in Material & Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrate strong English proficiency at the C1 level.
Nice to have
- Understanding of thermal spray processes.
- Familiarity with programming for robotics, such as ABB Robotics or S4 Rapid.
- Prior industry exposure, for example through previous internships.
- Competence in CAD software like SolidWorks or CATIA.
- Ability to communicate in German.
