Investment Analyst (Inflation)

Garda Capital Partners seeks a Junior Investment Analyst in Geneva to support the inflation team with market analysis, strategy development, and investment research.

This position assists the senior portfolio manager and the wider inflation-focused team in investigating and evaluating potential investment opportunities within the inflation market.

Responsibilities

• Build a solid grasp of the inflation market landscape and its primary instruments, such as cash and derivative products.
• Apply both qualitative and quantitative methods to spot trading prospects and evaluate the risk profile of current strategies.
• Create and maintain spreadsheet models that facilitate investment decision-making.
• Assist the research workflow by gathering data, performing analysis, developing prototypes, conducting back-tests, and tracking performance.
• Present identified opportunities to the Investment and Leadership teams.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience in a comparable role at a leading bank or hedge fund.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, or another quantitative field.
• Strong programming and quantitative abilities, specifically with Python and SQL.
• A genuine interest in and understanding of financial markets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Sharp critical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity for independent problem-solving.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours when necessary.
