Michael Page seeks a Junior HR Business Partner for a 6-month fixed-term role in Geneva. The position focuses on supporting managers, managing employee relations, and driving organizational effectiveness within an international setting.

This role serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, helping to align human resources strategies with broader organizational goals. The incumbent acts as a trusted advisor to management, providing expert guidance on people-related matters to ensure operational success and a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to define workforce planning strategies and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Coach managers on leadership techniques, team dynamics, and individual employee development.
  • Evaluate HR metrics and workforce trends to support data-driven business decisions.
  • Advise staff and management on employee relations issues, ensuring policies are applied fairly and consistently.
  • Help resolve complex workplace conflicts and sensitive employee situations.
  • Guide the implementation of disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and grievance procedures in compliance with Swiss labor laws.
  • Foster high levels of employee engagement and a positive work environment across the region.
  • Assist in talent reviews and succession planning to identify high-potential employees.
  • Facilitate career development conversations and support talent planning initiatives.
  • Promote learning and development programs that align with business needs and individual growth.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving employee retention and engagement.
  • Manage the full performance management cycle, including goal setting, reviews, and improvement plans.
  • Ensure fairness and consistency in performance management practices throughout the organization.
  • Coach managers on conducting effective performance and development conversations.
  • Participate in regional and global HR projects led from the Geneva office.
  • Support the rollout of HR programs across relevant countries.
  • Work closely with HR Centers of Expertise and business stakeholders on people initiatives.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects originating from the Geneva location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an HR Business Partner in an international context.
  • Solid understanding of Swiss employment legislation.
  • Proven track record in handling employee relations and performance management.
  • Experience operating within complex, matrixed, and multicultural organizations.
  • Strong ability to influence and build partnerships with senior stakeholders.
  • Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in French is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of additional European languages is considered an asset.
