Junior Logistics Coordinator

Bunge seeks a Junior Logistics Coordinator to support logistics activities across Southeast Asia, focusing on ocean vessels and commercial collaboration.

This position assists the Logistic Manager in managing logistics operations throughout Southeast Asia, with an initial emphasis on ocean-going vessels. The role also involves working closely with the commercial team to enhance the value of trading books.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the commercial team, destination offices, and global logistics partners to plan shipments and resolve issues.
• Track shipments at loading and discharge ports to ensure smooth operations and alert stakeholders to potential risks.
• Develop and maintain shipment plans, including any necessary adjustments.
• Work with freight operations, destination offices, and brokers to address logistical or ad hoc challenges.
• Communicate with port agents and freight providers to verify that vessel specifications match terminal and berth requirements.
• Review and approve logistics costs for shipments, including freight payments and taxes.
• Coordinate with execution teams and destination offices regarding shipment execution and laytime matters.
• Liaise with freight operations on pre-stowage plans, changes to execution plans, and other logistical details.
• Manage ad hoc projects or reports aimed at improving or standardizing logistics flow efficiency.

Requirements

• One to three years of experience in logistics management within the commodity sector.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong interpersonal abilities, a fast learning curve, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment and across various geographic regions.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical capabilities.
• A collaborative team player.
• Comfort working in unstructured and ambiguous settings.
