Junior SAP Cloud Integration (CI) Developer

Jet Aviation seeks a Junior SAP Cloud Integration Developer in Basel to build connections between SAP and non-SAP systems, including migrating from SAP CPI to SAP CI.

This position focuses on creating reliable integrations between SAP and external systems to support Finance, Operations, and HCM processes. A key objective is managing the transition from the legacy SAP CPI (Neo) environment to the modern SAP CI (Cloud Foundry) platform.

Responsibilities

• Create, build, and launch SAP CI integration flows (iFlows), adapters, and third-party API connections.
• Partner with IT and cross-functional groups across different time zones to define, implement, and maintain integration scenarios.
• Diagnose and fix integration problems rapidly to reduce system downtime.
• Assist with testing, validation, and deployment tasks in line with SAP best practices.
• Write clear documentation in English for requirements, specifications, guidelines, and troubleshooting steps.
• Implement middleware design standards, error handling strategies, and performance tuning techniques.

Requirements

• At least three years of practical experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) or SAP Cloud Integration (CI).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with iFlows, adapters, data mapping, and transformation methods such as Groovy scripting, graphical mapping, and XSLT.
• Understanding of APIs (SOAP, REST) and security protocols like OAuth, TLS, and SSL.
• Solid grasp of SAP integration capabilities and connectivity with cloud applications.
• Experience in handling errors, monitoring systems, and optimizing performance within SAP CI.
• Capacity to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with global teams across various time zones.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP BTP and Cloud Connector setup is advantageous.
• Experience with migrating from CPI to CI is beneficial.
