Kanadeviainova seeks a Layout Engineer for its Tendering department in Zürich. The role focuses on developing conceptual 3D plant layouts for international Waste-to-Energy EPC projects.
Positioned within the Global Engineering & Supply Chain Tendering department, this role is dedicated to creating conceptual plant layouts during the proposal phase of international Waste-to-Energy EPC projects. The engineer ensures that designs are cost-competitive and technically sound before handover to execution teams.
Responsibilities
- Construct 3D models and assist in defining overall plant concepts.
- Refine plant arrangements to enhance cost efficiency and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Analyze contract specifications to spot risks and opportunities, and join clarification or negotiation sessions.
- Conduct layout reviews, generate planning drawings, and supply civil engineering input data.
- Transfer approved tenders to the project execution team for implementation.
- Preserve tendering expertise, update tools and guidelines, and apply lessons learned from past projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in an international EPC setting.
- Strong background in project execution or tendering, with knowledge of process equipment layout, steel structures, civil design, and key cost drivers.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD modeling and familiar with BIM methodologies.
- Skilled in using design software including Aveva E3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Fluent command of the English language.
Nice to have
- Prior exposure to Waste-to-Energy technologies such as combustion, boilers, flue gas treatment, water steam cycles, or balance of plant.
- Specific familiarity with Aveva E3D.
- Ability to communicate in additional languages.
