Lead Business Innovation (M/F/D)

Weidmann Group seeks a Lead Business Innovation to drive strategic growth and digital transformation. This remote role reports to the CEO and focuses on identifying new market opportunities and scaling innovative solutions.

This position serves as the central engine for innovation within Weidmann Holding AG, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The primary objective is to uncover untapped market potential, question established industry norms, and architect the company's future expansion through entrepreneurial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s innovation framework, covering trend analysis, opportunity identification, and business case creation.
• Develop and expand strategic growth projects that extend beyond existing product lines.
• Collaborate with key clients and sector specialists to design novel solutions.
• Streamline and digitize supply chains both internally and across external partnerships.
• Engage global teams and change-makers to pursue high-impact opportunities.
• Maintain a steady flow of prospective ventures through continuous market scanning.
• Convert experimental innovation efforts into viable, scalable commercial models.

Requirements

• Proven background in innovation management, strategic planning, corporate development, or venture creation.
• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement abilities, particularly with C-level executives and major clients.
• Capacity to detect shifting market dynamics and technological advancements, converting these observations into actionable business prospects.
• A drive to disrupt conventional practices and comfort working in uncertain environments.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• An entrepreneurial approach with strong execution capabilities; prior startup involvement is advantageous.
• A Master’s degree in a technical discipline, with Electrical Engineering being particularly valued.
