Lead Business Innovation (M/F/D)

Weidmann Medical Technology seeks a Lead Business Innovation to drive strategy and growth from ideation to scalable business cases, reporting directly to the CEO.

This position serves as an innovation catalyst within the executive leadership structure, reporting directly to the CEO. The role operates at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a mission to identify new opportunities, challenge industry norms, and build the company's next generation of growth through proof-of-concept development.

Responsibilities

• Manage the innovation engine by conducting radar sessions, scouting for opportunities, and developing business cases.
• Launch and expand strategic growth initiatives that go beyond traditional product lines.
• Collaborate with leading customers and industry experts to co-create new solutions.
• Simplify and digitize value chains both within and outside the company.
• Mobilize global teams to pursue opportunities that can significantly impact the business.
• Generate a robust pipeline of future opportunities through effective radar and scouting activities.
• Translate innovation projects successfully into scalable business cases.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in innovation, strategy, corporate development or venture building.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including engagement with senior executives and customers.
• Ability to identify emerging trends, technologies and market shifts, turning insights into opportunities.
• Passion for challenging the status quo and thrive in ambiguity.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have

• Start-up experience.
• Master’s degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering a plus).
