Lead Engineer – Commissioning & Software Deployment

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and acceptance of new installations and retrofit projects (mechanical, electrical, control, and software-integrated systems).
• Oversee deployment and integration of control software, interfaces, and data-driven applications.
• Act as the primary technical contact for clients, vendors, and internal development teams.
• Ensure that commissioned systems meet performance, reliability, and integration requirements.
• Manage a team of commissioning engineers across multiple EU sites.
• Coordinate testing, issue resolution, and snag list closure.
• Support transition of commissioned systems into ongoing application management and support environments.
• Deliver project reports, documentation, and client-facing updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or Software Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial automation, system commissioning, or software deployment.
• Understanding of system integration principles, APIs, or application-level interfaces.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
