Cornèr Bank seeks a Legal Collection Case Manager in Wallisellen to handle legal debt recovery under Swiss law, requiring French and Italian fluency and prior experience in the Swiss enforcement system.
The company is looking for a professional to oversee legal debt recovery operations and help shape collection strategies. This role involves working within the Swiss Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act (SchKG) and related financial regulations, while coordinating with internal teams, external legal partners, and debtors to improve recovery results through a customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of overdue accounts by initiating, tracking, and following up on legal debt recovery processes.
- Draft, examine, and handle legal paperwork, keep precise case files, and track court proceedings to ensure timely actions.
- Communicate with debtors, legal advisors, collection agencies, courts, and public bodies to arrange payment plans or settlements when suitable.
- Assess collection cases, suggest legal steps, and assist in reaching recovery goals.
- Partner with internal departments like Customer Service to refine collection workflows and recovery tactics.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience managing debt collection within the Swiss enforcement and judicial framework.
- Fluent French at a C1 level (written and spoken) and solid Italian skills at a B2 level (written and spoken).
- Demonstrated organizational capabilities, problem-solving aptitude, and a goal-oriented approach.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong teamwork and communication with colleagues at the head office from a remote branch.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
- A commercial diploma or equivalent degree in Swiss law, political science, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Swiss debt enforcement and insolvency procedures, along with knowledge of financial products and consumer finance regulations.
- German language skills.
