Solvias seeks a Senior Legal Counsel for a 6-month fixed-term contract to deliver commercial, corporate, and compliance legal support within its international operations.
This temporary position requires an experienced legal professional to integrate quickly into a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on providing immediate, business-oriented legal assistance across commercial, corporate, compliance, and operational matters for the Solvias Group.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including master service, confidentiality, vendor, consulting, supply, quality, and licensing contracts.
- Advise sales and operational teams on contract reviews and associated risk assessments.
- Enhance contract templates and streamline approval workflows.
- Maintain contractual consistency and ensure alignment with internal risk standards.
- Provide daily legal guidance to internal stakeholders across different business units.
- Support cross-functional projects and international business activities.
- Liaise with external legal counsel for specialized advice when necessary.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining corporate compliance programs.
- Develop policies, training materials, and governance documentation.
- Ensure adherence to data privacy, anti-bribery, trade, and corporate regulations.
- Participate in enterprise risk identification and mitigation efforts.
- Support Human Resources with employment-related legal issues, including policies, contracts, investigations, and workforce matters.
Requirements
- Law degree (JD, LL.B., LL.M., or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Qualified to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
- 5–8 years of legal experience, with in-house exposure preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial contracting and general corporate legal matters.
- Strong understanding of international business operations and cross-border agreements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in contract drafting and negotiation.
- Pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to legal challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
Nice to have
- Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO/CDMO, healthcare, or regulated services industries.
- Familiarity with data privacy and compliance matters, including GDPR.
- Experience supporting fast-growing or international organizations.
- Prior experience in temporary, interim, or project-based legal roles.
- Exposure to legal operations or legal process improvement initiatives.
