Schindler Elevator seeks a Legal Counsel for Transactions and Competition Law in Hergiswil. The role supports global growth through M&A, antitrust advice, and regulatory collaboration.
This position is part of the Global Legal & Compliance team, designed to underpin Schindler’s international expansion. The role blends transactional legal work with competition law expertise, offering significant global exposure and close partnership with business units.
Responsibilities
- Guide M&A deals from initial structuring and due diligence through to contract drafting, negotiations, merger control filings, and post-closing integration.
- Provide legal advice on antitrust and competition matters across various business segments.
- Collaborate with internal teams, outside counsel, and regulatory authorities on merger control, investigations, and other corporate or regulatory issues.
- Offer practical legal guidance on external communications, competitive strategy in transactions, and other key business initiatives.
- Track legal and regulatory changes to evaluate their impact on transactions, operations, and strategic planning.
- Create clear training materials, guidelines, and best practices to help business teams comply with legal and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- A law degree, ideally from a Swiss institution, along with admission to the bar.
- Three to five years of professional experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, or competition law.
- Native-level proficiency in both English and German (C2 level).
- Strong digital skills, particularly with Microsoft 365.
Nice to have
- An LL.M., doctoral degree, or experience working internationally.
- Knowledge of additional languages.
- An interest in using AI-driven tools for legal work.
