Manufacturing Engineer

Anavia seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Näfels to optimize production processes, ensure DFM compliance, and support cross-functional teams in the aviation sector.

This position focuses on enhancing production efficiency and product manufacturability through Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles. The engineer will collaborate with various departments to maintain industry standards, troubleshoot operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings to suggest design modifications that facilitate easier production.
• Develop, deploy, and refine manufacturing workflows for both new and current product lines.
• Design and install necessary manufacturing tools, equipment, and processes.
• Offer technical guidance to production staff and resolve manufacturing-related problems.
• Produce and update documentation for manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
• Train and mentor production personnel on new equipment and processes.
• Generate reports on process performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct feasibility studies and simulate manufacturing processes.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline operations.
• Work with the quality assurance team to investigate and fix quality issues.

Requirements

• A completed higher education degree, such as from ETH or HTL.
• At least three years of experience in a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of production and assembly processes, ideally within the aviation sector.
• Solid technical and practical knowledge of complex mechanical, mechatronic, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software, including Creo or SolidWorks.
• A structured and process-oriented approach to work.
• Fluent oral and written English skills.
• Must be a citizen of Switzerland or the EU.
