The company Anybotics is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for its Zurich production team. The role focuses on daily manufacturing operations, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration within a high-tech robotics environment.

This position sits within the Production and Maintenance Team in Zurich and serves as a key link between Industrialisation, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Logistics. The engineer oversees daily manufacturing activities within the value stream, ensuring smooth operations and supporting the transition from pilot series to broader production.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver initial technical assistance to maintain steady production flow and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Record non-conformities, conduct root cause investigations, and apply corrective and preventive measures.
  • Manage the upkeep, calibration, and enhancement of manufacturing tools and testing devices.
  • Track First Pass Yield and cycle times to spot and address production bottlenecks early.
  • Spearhead projects aimed at boosting output, operational efficiency, and delivery schedules.
  • Optimize the complete value stream for pilot manufacturing and maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out New Product Introduction activities and apply Engineering Change Orders on the shop floor.
  • Verify that test protocols and work instructions remain technically precise and current.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
  • Minimum of three years in high-tech manufacturing or robotics.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities paired with a proactive, structured approach.
  • Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Practical skills in soldering, crimping, and cable assembly.
  • Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced, multicultural setting.
  • Strong technical communication and presentation abilities.
  • Fluency in both German and English at a B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Background in test data analysis or yield monitoring systems.
  • Familiarity with firmware update and validation processes.
  • Valid Swiss Category B driving license.
