Manufacturing Engineer II

Hologic Medicor Suisse GmbH seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to support manufacturing equipment, processes, and operations in Switzerland. The role involves troubleshooting, validation, and process transfer support.

This position delivers engineering assistance for manufacturing equipment, processes, and daily operations. The engineer helps evaluate, acquire, install, qualify, and maintain both new and existing manufacturing systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and enhance manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Provide technical assistance to manufacturing teams, mechanics, technicians, and leads.
• Develop, update, and revise operating procedures and maintenance documentation.
• Conduct testing for equipment, processes, and product performance.
• Facilitate process transfers from Engineering to Manufacturing, including training.
• Support validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation, execution, and reporting.
• Write and review technical documents, operating procedures, and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 2–4 years of experience in the industry.
• Working knowledge of microprocessor controls, utility distribution systems, and process engineering.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing automation systems and design best practices.
• Familiarity with CGMPs, ISO 13485, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
• Proficiency with Windows-based programs, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with SolidWorks or Pro/E for 3D modeling.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, technical writing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Lean and Six Sigma certification (preferred but not required).
