Manufacturing Engineer

Dexterous Endoscopes Sàrl seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to transition prototype devices into scalable, compliant medical products. The role focuses on design for manufacturing, production scaling, and regulatory compliance.

This position is centered on moving prototype devices into manufacturable, scalable medical products. The engineer will bridge R&D and production, ensuring designs are reliable, manufacturable, and meet regulatory standards. It is ideal for professionals who enjoy tackling complex technical challenges and taking ownership of critical processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive design for manufacturing (DFM) efforts to transform prototype concepts into production-ready products
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to set up and refine production workflows
• Refine device designs, parts, and assemblies to support scalable manufacturing
• Create and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes and assembly steps
• Manage design transfer activities, moving projects from R&D into manufacturing

Requirements

• At least four years in manufacturing engineering or product industrialization, with a preference for medical device experience
• Fluent English proficiency (C1 level)
• Proven expertise in design for manufacturing (DFM) and design transfer to production
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing methods for precision medical devices, such as injection molding, precision machining, micro-assembly, and device assembly
• Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers and external suppliers
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and regulated medical device production environments
• Understanding of medical device manufacturing standards and regulatory requirements

Nice to have

• Prior experience in endoscopy or similar MedTech companies is highly valued
