MSAT Data Expert (Plasma)

Takeda Pharma AG seeks a Senior MSAT Data Expert in Zürich to lead CMC data governance and digital strategy for its Plasma network, ensuring high-quality, analysis-ready data.

This position is central to advancing Takeda’s digital manufacturing and data strategy within the Plasma division. The expert ensures that CMC process data is structured, accurate, and ready for advanced analytics, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish robust data standards and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Create and upkeep CMC data taxonomies, ontologies, metadata models, and business rules specific to the Plasma modality.
• Guarantee that CMC process data remains accurate, consistent, contextualized, and ready for analysis across all systems and manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate with MSAT, Manufacturing, Digital, and Quality departments to facilitate effective data capture, integration, and usage.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for CMC data governance and stewardship within the Plasma organization.
• Assist in implementing and refining data standards, SOPs, job aids, and governance practices for continuous improvement.
• Facilitate data integration across manufacturing and enterprise platforms to support modeling, analytics, and digital use cases.
• Maintain compliance with GxP requirements and support inspection readiness through strong data management practices.
• Foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement while contributing to Takeda’s broader digital transformation efforts.

Requirements

• Hold an advanced degree in Data Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
• Possess experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector, preferably supporting CMC, MSAT, Manufacturing, or Plasma operations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of CMC process data, data modeling, metadata management, taxonomies, ontologies, or data governance principles.
• Be familiar with GxP-regulated environments and understand data integrity requirements.
• Exhibit a strong analytical mindset capable of translating complex process knowledge into structured, high-quality data solutions.
• Show excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience working with manufacturing or laboratory systems such as MES, LIMS, OSI PI, Databricks, or similar digital platforms.
