Network Security Consultant- Part Time

Tufin Software Technologies seeks a Senior Network Security Consultant for a remote, part-time role to define the network security engineer persona and guide the development of AI-driven tools.

The company is developing artificial intelligence solutions to support network security engineers. This position acts as the subject matter expert for defining the network security engineer role and designing corresponding AI tools. The consultant will partner with product managers and AI teams to map out workflows and shape the capabilities of these new agents.

Responsibilities

• Map out the daily tasks and operational workflows of network security engineers across different sectors.
• Define the network security engineer profile, covering objectives, pain points, toolsets, and informal knowledge.
• Work with product and AI teams to convert domain expertise into functional agent features and use cases.
• Ensure the technical correctness and practical applicability of agent behaviors in network security contexts.
• Evaluate and critique AI-generated outputs to enhance accuracy and scope.
• Create and verify test scenarios based on real-world enterprise setups.

Requirements

• Over eight years of experience as a senior network engineer or team lead within large enterprises or service providers.
• Extensive practical knowledge of firewall administration and network security operations.
• Background in regulated or complex settings, preferably in global firms serving financial, insurance, telecommunications, or manufacturing industries.
• Strong understanding of contemporary network structures, including cloud networking, SASE, SD-WAN, and hybrid models.
• Proficiency with major firewall and security platforms alongside network security utilities.
• Experience with compliance standards, vulnerability management, and change management procedures for network infrastructure.
• Must reside in the EMEA region.

• Knowledge of Tufin solutions or competing products.
