Packaging Sciences Intern

Nestlé NPTC Nutrition in Konolfingen, CH, seeks a Packaging Sciences Intern to support sustainable packaging development and lab validation within a collaborative R&D environment.

This internship places you within the Nestlé NPTC Nutrition team, where you will assist experts in creating and testing eco-friendly packaging for a wide range of products. You will work directly in a laboratory setting, gaining practical experience while contributing to active technical projects alongside cross-functional colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on packaging materials and provide precise, well-documented results
• Help advance packaging initiatives by ensuring they meet sustainability standards and regulatory rules
• Manage laboratory equipment, including calibration tasks, to keep the workspace running smoothly
• Create and revise standard operating procedures and guidelines for lab operations
• Partner with specialists to integrate modern digital tools and technologies into daily workflows

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's program in Packaging Science, Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline
• Capable of analyzing data, solving problems, and drafting clear reports
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail, particularly in laboratory contexts
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications
• Able to function both autonomously and as part of an international team
• Fluent English communication skills

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks
• Ability to communicate in German
• A proactive attitude, curiosity, and a dedication to ongoing professional growth
