Principal Data Architect

Visium seeks a Principal Data Architect in Lausanne to design secure, scalable Azure data platforms. This hybrid role requires deep expertise in data modeling and cloud-native solutions to drive business value.

In this role, you will serve as the technical authority for data architecture, ensuring that data platforms are built with AI at their core rather than as an afterthought. You will shape scalable, secure, and business-aligned data solutions that deliver compounding value across complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end data solutions, including platforms, pipelines, storage layers, and analytics components.
• Establish data models, governance standards, and best practices to ensure scalability and compliance.
• Drive architectural decisions and navigate complex technical trade-offs to meet business goals.
• Collaborate with data engineers, modelers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to align technical delivery with strategic needs.
• Guarantee that data solutions meet high standards for security, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Contribute to the long-term data strategy and evolution of the platform infrastructure.

Requirements

• Over eight years of experience in data architecture or engineering, preferably within large-scale, complex data environments.
• Deep knowledge of data architecture and modeling, including lakehouse patterns and modern analytics frameworks.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native data platforms, with a preference for Azure.
• Ability to translate business requirements into robust, end-to-end technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data-driven use cases.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience leading technical discussions and engaging with senior stakeholders.
