Principal Engagement Manager, Professional Services, AWSI

Amazon Switzerland seeks a Principal Engagement Manager in Zürich to lead complex Healthcare and Life Sciences transformation programs, orchestrating large teams and driving strategic outcomes using AWS services.

This role sits within a global team dedicated to helping customers achieve business outcomes through AWS services. The position focuses on leading the delivery of the most intricate transformation initiatives in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors, requiring the orchestration of large, multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful program execution.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate trusted executive relationships at the VP level and provide strategic guidance.
• Manage interdependencies, mitigate risks, and ensure accountability within ambiguous environments.
• Align stakeholders across customer business units, IT departments, and partner organizations.
• Define and monitor measurable business outcomes to guide program success.
• Oversee program financial health, including forecasting, revenue recognition, and scope management.
• Lead human and agent builder teams, establishing operating models and responsible AI guardrails.
• Drive the adoption of AI-DLC methodologies across delivery programs.
• Establish and enforce governance frameworks for agentic AI in delivery.
• Propose innovations for ProServe and other AWS teams to help customers achieve goals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technology transformation program management.
• At least 5 years leading complex, multi-workstream delivery programs ($10M+/year in professional services revenue).
• 3+ years experience in the healthcare and/or life sciences industry.
• Experience with fixed-price, milestone-based delivery models.
• Demonstrated ability to adopt and champion emerging delivery methodologies and tooling.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, GenAI Practitioner, and/or Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent cloud program management certifications (PMP, PgMP, SAFe).
• Experience managing large-scale programs with multiple delivery partners.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML and data transformation programs.
• Proven ability to serve as a trusted strategic advisor to VP+ executives.
• Track record of building trusted relationships with senior customer executives (VP+).
• Experience in software development and proficiency in AI-DLC or equivalent AI-accelerated development methodologies.
