Siteimprove seeks a Principal Product Manager to lead its Accessibility pillar, focusing on strategy, remediation workflows, and AI-assisted tools to help customers achieve proactive governance and compliance.
This role serves as the directly responsible individual for a significant portion of the company's accessibility domain. The position involves owning high-impact problem spaces end-to-end, driving product strategy, and elevating product craft across the team while helping customers transition from reactive compliance to proactive governance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the product strategy, including vision, roadmap, and key bets for the assigned domain.
- Define and track success metrics such as activation, retention, remediation throughput, and compliance readiness.
- Balance tradeoffs between customer value, technical feasibility, time-to-impact, and go-to-market leverage.
- Conduct continuous discovery with accessibility leaders, developers, marketers, and compliance teams.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative insights to pinpoint the most impactful problems.
- Draft clear problem definitions, success metrics, and decision documents, sharing them widely for feedback.
- Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering in a trio model to break down large initiatives into shippable increments.
- Ensure all solutions meet usability, accessibility, security, and enterprise standards.
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Support, and Enablement to drive successful launches and adoption.
- Create compelling product narratives, including positioning, value propositions, and customer-facing messaging.
- Influence executive decisions using data, clarity, and strong product judgment.
- Coach other product managers and cross-functional peers on discovery habits, strategy, writing, and prioritization.
- Establish reusable frameworks, templates, and operating cadences for the domain, such as PRDs and launch checklists.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the accessibility domain, including knowledge of WCAG, ADA, EAA, compliance workflows, or enterprise governance products.
- Background in building workflow products (triage, assign, fix, verify) and/or automation or AI-assisted systems.
- Experience with integrations and platforms, including APIs, webhooks, partner ecosystems, CMS, and design/dev toolchains.
- Familiarity with influencing packaging, pricing, or multi-product suites.
- Understanding of regulated enterprise customers and security/compliance constraints.
