Product Manager - In-Class Experience

EF Education First seeks a Mid-Senior Product Manager in Zürich to lead the vision and roadmap for in-class student and teacher experiences across its global language schools.

This position serves as the central champion for the in-class experience, responsible for defining the strategic vision and roadmap for tools and materials used in EF Language Abroad schools. The role acts as the primary internal contact for ensuring that pedagogical goals are effectively translated into practical, engaging classroom products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the complete product lifecycle, from initial concept and ideation through to launch and continuous iteration for all in-class resources.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to uncover pain points and new opportunities.
  • Translate educational objectives into practical and engaging classroom materials and digital tools.
  • Prioritize product initiatives by evaluating their potential impact, required effort, and alignment with broader business goals.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Design teams to build scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators to measure the success of the in-class experience.
  • Gather direct feedback from teachers to rapidly refine and improve classroom tools and resources.
  • Create training guides and materials to support the rollout of new products or updates.
  • Partner with School Operations, Sales, and Marketing to ensure the product aligns with the overall student journey.
  • Report progress, updates, and results to senior leadership and school management on a global scale.

Requirements

  • At least six years of professional experience as a Product Manager.
  • A demonstrated history of successfully defining and launching tech or educational products and materials.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to define metrics, interpret data, and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a global organization or a company that manages physical, location-based experiences.
  • Background in shaping 0-to-1 projects from inception to launch.
  • Deep understanding of pedagogical principles and the specific challenges and opportunities in language learning classrooms.
  • Experience with A/B testing, user research methodologies, and rapid prototyping in an educational context.
  • Proficiency in a second language or personal experience learning a second language.
