Product Owner - Institutional & Wealth

Swissquote seeks a Mid-Senior Product Owner for Institutional & Wealth in Gland, CH, to lead product development within the Software Engineering Platforms department. The role involves shaping passive investment platforms and institutional solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.

This Product Owner role is within the Software Engineering Platforms department, which connects the company’s growth strategy with customer-facing digital solutions. The Institutional and Wealth team designs and maintains platforms for retail and institutional clients, covering Forex, securities, and crypto. The candidate will join the Conception team, working alongside product owners, a designer, and an offshore business analyst to translate strategic goals into actionable product developments across all business lines.

Responsibilities

• Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure the product meets business goals and user needs
• Gather and document business requirements to guide development and reflect constraints
• Create and maintain a product roadmap to align development teams and stakeholders
• Prioritize the product backlog to focus on high-value work and maximize return on investment
• Evaluate and rank client feedback to support ongoing product improvements
• Work with designers to enhance user experience across web and mobile platforms
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, sharing knowledge and mentoring team members
• Stay informed about market and industry trends to improve solution design
• Guide the development team with product vision and clarify requirements
• Produce and maintain detailed documentation for business features
• Track key performance indicators to inform prioritization and data-driven decisions
• Ensure features are validated incrementally to confirm alignment with business needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Several years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or similar roles
• Experience collaborating with agile software development teams in a disciplined agile setting
• Proven track record of working with product designers to deliver client-facing web solutions
• Strong grasp of product quality, including planning and managing business validation
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, especially with stakeholders and institutional clients
• Experience mentoring team members and sharing business expertise
• Fluency in English

Nice to have

• In-depth knowledge of securities trading and forex trading
• Experience collaborating with product designers on mobile platform solutions
