Bitcoin Suisse seeks a Product Owner / Custody Specialist in Zug to lead custody product development, manage stakeholder requirements, and ensure operational compliance for high-net-worth and institutional clients.
As the trusted gateway to crypto asset investing in Switzerland, Bitcoin Suisse serves ultra-high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. This role acts as the subject matter expert for digital asset custody, bridging the gap between trading, staking, and DeFi services while driving the product vision and roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of new product features and shape the overall custody product strategy.
- Serve as the primary expert on digital asset custody, linking it to trading, staking, and DeFi offerings.
- Convert business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed specs for an AI-driven software development lifecycle.
- Facilitate Scrum events, manage the backlog, and coordinate with stakeholders across business and tech teams.
- Provide operational insights and perform ad-hoc data analysis to support decision-making.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system integrations and new features alongside IT and Business Operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in collaboration with infrastructure and software development teams.
- Maintain complete business documentation and ensure all records are up to date.
- Participate in risk update calls and coordinate necessary follow-up actions.
- Drive risk initiatives and contribute to improvement programs.
- Report operational or system incidents to the Risk function as needed.
- Monitor operational and system controls for Custody, maintaining evidence for internal policies, regulatory compliance, and audits.
- Act as the main point of contact for the Custody department, assisting internal teams with procedures and tools.
- Manage internal user groups for application questions, troubleshooting, bug management, and feature education.
Requirements
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Business Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with external and internal audits and standards like ISAE 3402, SOC2, DORA, and ISO 27001.
- Strong knowledge of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, cryptography, cybersecurity, risk management, and adversarial thinking.
- Familiarity with self-custody concepts, including seeds, private keys, and wallet mechanics.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner effectively in challenging situations.
- Excellent proficiency in both English and German.
- A valid work permit for Switzerland.

- Prior experience in the Swiss financial services sector.
- Certifications in Scrum, project management, business analysis, or requirements engineering.
