EM Microelectronic seeks a Senior Project Manager in Saint-Imier to lead low-power wireless SoC development programs from concept to production, ensuring strict adherence to schedule, quality, and regulatory standards.
The company is looking for an experienced professional to oversee the full lifecycle of System-on-Chip development initiatives. This role focuses on coordinating diverse, global teams to deliver compliant, high-quality wireless products while managing budgets, risks, and technical alignment across hardware, RF, and firmware domains.
Responsibilities
- Direct SoC development programs from initial definition through final production release.
- Oversee project planning, including timelines, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Synchronize efforts among engineering, product management, and operations departments.
- Ensure technical coherence across hardware, RF, firmware, and system integration areas.
- Drive the creation of wireless SOC products utilizing low-power design methodologies.
- Guarantee product compliance with RF, cybersecurity, medical, and automotive regulations.
- Deliver regular status updates and maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Collaborate with external partners, including suppliers, IP vendors, and foundries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Five to ten years of project or program management experience in semiconductor or embedded systems sectors.
- Demonstrated history of managing ASIC or SoC development programs.
- Proven capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor development workflows and low-power design principles.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of low-power wireless technologies such as BLE or Thread.
- Familiarity with RF concepts and product certification procedures.
- Experience in automotive development, functional safety standards, or regulated medical environments.
- Understanding of cybersecurity requirements for IoT and related markets.
- Project management certification like PMP or Agile.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
- Ability to thrive in multicultural and distributed team settings.
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive approach to risk identification and problem-solving.
- Capacity to manage complex projects within defined timelines.
- Proficiency in French is considered an asset.
