Michael Page seeks a Project Manager for wireless SoC development in Neuchâtel. This mid-level onsite role leads end-to-end ASIC programs for IoT, medical, and automotive sectors.

This strategic position operates within a Neuchâtel fabrication facility, focusing on the creation of ultra-low-power wireless System-on-Chip solutions. The role is pivotal in delivering next-generation semiconductor products for diverse industries including IoT, medical, automotive, and industrial applications.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of low-power Wireless SoC projects, starting from initial specifications through to final production release.
  • Establish comprehensive project plans that include timelines, budget management, resource distribution, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Synchronize efforts across diverse engineering groups such as Hardware, RF, Analog, Digital, Firmware, Validation, and Product Management.
  • Guarantee the timely achievement of ASIC/SoC milestones while maintaining a balance between quality standards, cost efficiency, and delivery schedules.
  • Facilitate cooperation among internal engineering departments, manufacturing units, suppliers, IP vendors, and semiconductor foundries.
  • Track technical risks and address project challenges to ensure program objectives are met.
  • Verify adherence to industry standards regarding RF certification, cybersecurity, functional safety, and regulated market requirements.
  • Provide regular updates on program progress and key performance indicators to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Between 5 and 10 years of professional experience managing semiconductor, ASIC, or embedded systems development projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering ASIC or Wireless SoC development programs.
  • Solid comprehension of semiconductor development workflows, silicon lifecycles, and low-power design methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of wireless technologies including Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Thread, or comparable protocols.
  • Familiarity with RF concepts, product certification procedures, and validation processes.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in highly regulated sectors such as Automotive (ISO 26262) or Medical devices is highly valued.
  • Understanding of IoT cybersecurity requirements is considered an advantage.
  • Possession of PMP, Agile, or equivalent Project Management certifications is desirable.
