Quant Analyst - Commodities

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Mid-level Quant Analyst for an on-site role in Olten, CH, focusing on developing analytics for commodity trading, specifically in power and gas markets.

This position supports an active front-office initiative within a well-established Swiss commodity trading firm. The primary objective is to build and refine quantitative analytics that directly support valuation, structuring, and trading activities.

Responsibilities

• Build a new framework for valuing assets and structured products.
• Work closely with Trading, Structuring, Risk, and Front Office Technology teams.
• Help design front-office systems.
• Maintain and improve current quantitative tools.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Prior experience as a Quantitative Analyst in commodities, with a preference for power or gas sectors.
• Strong grasp of financial derivatives and structured products.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one other language such as C#, F#, C++, Java, or Scala.
• Ability to communicate effectively with front-office stakeholders.
