Robotics Engineering Student

Ascento seeks a part-time Robotics Engineering Student in Zurich to provide remote technical support for robotic security systems during nights and weekends.

This internship focuses on maintaining the reliability of robotic security units through remote troubleshooting. The position requires availability during off-hours to address technical incidents promptly and coordinate with field teams when physical intervention is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues with robots remotely in real-time, making quick decisions in consultation with the remote supervisor.
• Serve as an on-call resource during nights and weekends to diagnose and investigate remote robot malfunctions.
• Liaise with clients and on-site technicians to arrange necessary physical support when remote fixes are insufficient.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in robotics, computer science, electronics, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with robotic projects utilizing Linux/Ubuntu operating systems and ROS frameworks.
• Reside in or near Zurich, Switzerland.
