The company seeks a Mid-level MSAT Process Engineer for a 12-month onsite role in Rotkreuz, supporting NGS production with technical expertise and process improvement.
This temporary position, with a strong likelihood of extension, serves the Sensor & Cartridge Operations team by providing essential technical support for daily sequencing production activities and ongoing improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert to deliver hands-on technical assistance for daily manufacturing operations.
- Manage and execute technical and process modifications within the SAP system for sequencing sensors and cartridges.
- Oversee non-conformity reports, conduct root-cause analyses, and coordinate necessary corrective actions.
- Track production metrics and performance indicators to maintain process stability and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including the Santa Clara site in the USA.
- Adhere strictly to GxP-regulated internal procedures and protocols.
- Lead Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) projects using Lean and Six Sigma methods to enhance yield and efficiency.
- Gradually assume responsibility for technical relationships with external suppliers to ensure supply chain security.
Requirements
- A university degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering (such as Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Material Science, or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) or an apprenticeship with equivalent professional experience.
- One to three years of experience working in highly regulated environments, demonstrating a strong quality awareness and GxP mindset.
- Fluent English communication skills and a good working knowledge of German at B2+ level.
Nice to have
- Experience in data-driven process monitoring and the ability to analyze key production performance indicators.
- Practical knowledge in planning and executing experiments, ideally utilizing statistical tools like Design of Experiments (DoEs).
- Strong coaching and communication skills to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
