Scientist - Analysis and Biophysical Characterization of Biomolecules - 100% - f/m/d

Solvias seeks a mid-level Scientist for biophysical characterization of biomolecules in a GMP-regulated environment, focusing on optical spectroscopy and customer project support.

This position supports biopharmaceutical drug development by conducting analytical testing for customer projects involving biopharmaceutical molecules and ATMPs. The role operates within a GMP and ISO-regulated setting, utilizing optical spectroscopy techniques to ensure high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytical testing for customer projects on biopharmaceutical molecules and ATMPs using optical spectroscopy methods.
• Apply scientific expertise in techniques such as AUC, FTIR, CD, DLS, SEC/AF4-MALS, Polarimetry, nanoDSC, UV Absorbance, and Fluorescence.
• Analyze customer samples, document findings, and provide guidance to a team of approximately 12 colleagues.
• Manage instruments in a qualified environment, including organizing periodic tests and maintenance.
• Ensure all analytical activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and GMP/ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Support quality management tasks, such as QE, OOS, and CR, and organize projects adhering to GMP/ISO 9001 standards.

Requirements

• Educational background in biochemistry, analytical sciences, or a related field with a focus on optical spectroscopy.
• Industry experience of more than 2 years in a biopharmaceutical drug development environment.
• Strong background in GMP/ISO-regulated analytical testing.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have

• Industry experience in a GMP/ISO-regulated analytical testing environment is advantageous.
• Proficiency in German and/or French is beneficial.
