Senior Analytical Manager BioSpectroscopy

Solvias seeks a Senior Analytical Manager to lead its BioSpectroscopy lab team, overseeing CMC testing operations, personnel management, and strategic compliance within a GMP-regulated environment.

This position is responsible for directing a high-performing analytical laboratory focused on BioSpectroscopy. The manager will shape daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure scientific rigor while serving as the key link between the technical team, senior leadership, and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Direct the analytical lab team in performing BioSpectroscopy services, including analysis of higher-order structure, aggregates, and concentration.
• Supervise staff members, including Analytical Managers, Scientists, and Lab Technicians, to maintain high performance standards.
• Set priorities for various lab sub-areas and distribute workloads effectively.
• Handle capacity planning, hiring processes, and professional development for team members.
• Foster an environment built on collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Monitor budgets to ensure cost-effective laboratory operations.
• Identify and implement strategies for cost reduction and process optimization.
• Serve as the main point of contact between the analytical group and executive leadership.
• Represent the organization during customer interactions.
• Guarantee that all analytical work complies with health, safety, environmental, GMP, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts to boost compliance and efficiency.
• Lead audit preparations, manage audit interactions, and oversee CAPA implementations.

Requirements

• Experience in analytical CMC testing using BioSpectroscopy technologies within a GMP setting.
• Degree in analytical sciences, protein chemistry, spectroscopy, or a related discipline.
• Over five years of industry experience in biopharmaceutical drug development with strong GMP-regulated analytical testing background.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within the industry.
• Expertise in regulatory compliance, analytical method development, and operational excellence.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in analytical workflow processes.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
