Robert Walters Switzerland is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist for a full-time, on-site role in Switzerland. The position focuses on transaction processing, reconciliation, and client support within a banking environment.
This position is responsible for the end-to-end handling of securities transactions and related investment activities. The specialist ensures the integrity of trade settlements, cash movements, and master data while monitoring automated interfaces with international custodian banks to maintain operational accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain securities transactions, including trade settlements, cash movements, money transfers, corporate actions, and private market investments.
- Oversee the automated processing of transactions, positions, and security master data through interfaces with international custodian banks and financial institutions.
- Update and enrich securities master data, ensuring the quality and accuracy of market data and pricing feeds.
- Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations of securities transactions, positions, and cash accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop practical solutions tailored to operational and business requirements.
- Provide first- and second-line operational support to clients via phone, email, or customer support platforms.
Requirements
- Commercial or business education, or an equivalent qualification.
- Solid understanding of banking operations and investment products.
- Previous experience in securities operations, securities administration, settlements, or investment operations.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Professional communication skills in German and English.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and perform effectively under pressure.
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
