Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Specialized Switzerland Retail GmbH seeks a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to design and optimize cloud infrastructure for its Turbo E-Bike Division, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

This position supports the Turbo E-Bike Division by constructing and managing the cloud foundation for advanced connected e-bike platforms. The engineer will focus on creating, refining, and securing cloud environments to guarantee high performance and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy resilient, scalable cloud architectures on AWS.
• Participate in designing secure, fault-tolerant systems that follow industry standards.
• Automate resource provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform.
• Maintain consistency and efficiency across all cloud environments.
• Create and refine CI/CD pipelines for seamless software integration and deployment.
• Lead automation efforts throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Define and enforce GitHub workflows, including branching, code reviews, and collaboration protocols.
• Promote secure coding and infrastructure practices (DevSecOps).
• Develop and sustain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
• Balance system performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Resolve complex infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.
• Assess and adopt new tools to improve the DevOps workflow.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams for smooth production deployments.
• Serve as a liaison between engineering, operations, and product groups.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and operational procedures thoroughly.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer with AWS in live environments.
• Proficiency in Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Strong background in constructing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Extensive knowledge of Docker and containerized systems.
• Deep understanding of event-driven architectures and microservices.
• Familiarity with GitHub workflows, version control, and code review processes.
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions like CloudWatch, OpenSearch, or Grafana.
• Solid grasp of cloud security principles and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in distributed, cross-functional teams.
