Senior Consultant / Manager, Financial Advisory

Teneo AG seeks a Senior Consultant/Manager for Financial Advisory in Switzerland. The role involves advising on restructuring and insolvency, supporting leadership, and driving business development within a global advisory firm.

This position operates within Teneo's worldwide integrated advisory framework and provides direct support to the firm's leadership team. The role focuses on delivering expert guidance on financial restructuring and insolvency matters while fostering client relationships and contributing to business growth.

Responsibilities

• Advise corporations, creditors, and financial stakeholders on restructuring, contingency planning, and insolvency matters.
• Drive business development efforts and generate new sales opportunities.
• Mentor team members to foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
• Oversee junior staff on financial restructuring and insolvency projects.
• Deliver high-quality work products within agreed deadlines.
• Cultivate strong, long-term client relationships.
• Contribute to and support client presentations.
• Achieve specific team performance targets.
• Apply knowledge of financial engagement economics, risk management, and quality standards.
• Develop leadership capabilities, sector expertise, and client relationship skills.
• Expand technical proficiency in business advisory and people management.
• Stay informed about market trends, current issues, and restructuring service offerings.

Requirements

• Hold a strong academic degree.
• Be a qualified Chartered Accountant or actively pursuing the CA qualification.
• Possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Demonstrate experience in restructuring/insolvency services or transferable skills from client-facing roles in professional services (e.g., corporate audit).
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to thrive in a high-performance team.
• Show willingness to work under pressure, including long hours, with a client-centric approach.
• Display ambition for continuous learning and professional development.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in restructuring/insolvency services within a professional services firm or financial advisory boutique.
• Ability to adapt skills to complementary offerings like Debt Advisory or Performance Improvement as market conditions evolve.
