This role serves as a central figure in managing intricate employee relations matters for a leading international organization. The specialist will navigate a complex, multicultural, and fast-paced setting, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and staff while ensuring fair outcomes and legal compliance during both routine operations and organizational transformations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee complex employee relations cases from initial review through to final resolution.
- Conduct workplace investigations, including interviews, fact-finding missions, and risk assessments.
- Offer expert advice on disciplinary actions, grievances, conduct standards, and performance issues.
- Ensure strict adherence to employment laws, internal policies, and HR best practices.
- Maintain precise and confidential records of all cases and interactions.
- Serve as a reliable advisor to managers and employees regarding sensitive personnel matters.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to address complex business situations.
- Deliver pragmatic recommendations that balance commercial needs with legal and reputational risks.
- Facilitate difficult conversations and guide conflict resolution processes.
- Assist leaders in building positive and productive working relationships.
- Promote fair, consistent, and equitable outcomes across the entire organization.
- Provide specialized employee relations support during transformation initiatives and organizational changes.
- Support workforce projects that require careful stakeholder management and risk mitigation.
- Help leaders manage the impact of change on employees.
- Offer flexible HR support on topics such as leadership coaching, talent discussions, employee development, workforce planning, team effectiveness, and HR policy application.
- Analyze employee relations trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop recommendations to enhance employee experience and people practices.
- Contribute to the enhancement of HR processes, governance, and risk management frameworks.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering, or a related HR function.
- Proven track record of managing complex employee relations matters and investigations.
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders in international and matrix organizations.
- Strong understanding of employment law and employee relations best practices.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving and evolving environment.
- Degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration or related field.
Nice to have
- Advanced HR qualification or postgraduate degree is advantageous.
- Professional HR certifications are considered a plus.
